Web Design & Development in Amsterdam
WebBizora designs and develops websites for businesses in Amsterdam, with the same AI-enhanced process used everywhere else — delivered fully remotely.
Amsterdam sits inside a 37-municipality metropolitan region, and the Dutch business base is overwhelmingly one-person — two facts that decide most of what a website here needs to do. WebBizora builds for Amsterdam businesses fully remotely, from $1,199.

Seven in Ten Dutch Businesses Are One Person
KVK’s Zzp-monitor counted 1,805,194 zzp’ers registered in the Handelsregister at the end of June 2026, against roughly 2.6 million businesses in total. CBS puts it another way: the Dutch mkb was about 81% zzp’ers at the start of 2025, up from 70% a decade earlier. Whatever you sell in Amsterdam, the business next to you is probably one person with no marketing function, no agency and no time. Being findable and quick to contact beats being clever, and it is a lower bar than most owners assume.
KVK Used the Word "Stagnation", and Meant It
On 1 January 2026 there were 2,599,668 businesses registered with KVK, against 2,579,735 a year earlier — growth of under 1%, the weakest in more than ten years. Underneath that: 10% fewer businesses started in 2025 and 18% more closed, with zzp’ers showing 13% fewer starters and 19% more stoppers. The first quarter of 2026 turned slightly, with starters up 2.0% year on year. This is a market where the pie is not growing much, so share comes from being chosen over someone else rather than from rising demand — which puts more weight on the site than it would carry in a boom.
Amsterdam Is 37 Municipalities, Not One City
The Metropolitan Region Amsterdam covers the city plus 36 further municipalities across North Holland and Flevoland — Amstelveen, Haarlem, Zaanstad, Almere, Haarlemmermeer, Purmerend and more, around 2.67 million people in total against roughly 872,000 in the municipality of Amsterdam itself. Those are separate places with separate names that customers actually search. A service business claiming "Amsterdam" while working across Amstelveen and Haarlemmermeer is competing for the hardest term available and skipping the two that would convert.
Two Things Dutch Sites Routinely Get Wrong
The KVK number is required on your website under Article 27 of the Handelsregisterwet, and it is missing more often than you would expect. The second is a link nobody has revisited: the EU ODR platform stopped taking complaints in March 2025 and closed in July, so the ODR link still sitting in a great many Dutch footers now points at nothing. There is also an obligation particular to the Netherlands — where a service is not fully accessible, that has to be self-reported to the ACM. The Netherlands page covers all three, including the micro-enterprise exemption and the condition most summaries get wrong.

Questions, Answered Directly
Yes. Article 27 of the Handelsregisterwet requires registered businesses to state the KVK number on their website, and a footer visible on every page is the normal way to satisfy it. The Netherlands page covers what else belongs alongside it.
No. It stopped accepting complaints in March 2025 and closed that July. A link to it is now a dead reference to a body that no longer exists, and it is still in a great many Dutch footers because nobody went back to remove it.
It depends who buys. Amsterdam has an unusually international customer base, so bilingual is common and often worth it — but the practical decision is how the site is structured for two languages, since retrofitting a second language into a finished build is consistently the expensive route.
WebBizora packages start at $1,199 and run to $2,999 for builds with booking or payment integration, delivered remotely. In a market that KVK itself describes as stagnating, keeping the spend small and predictable matters more than it would in a growing one.
