Four Fields, Because Fourteen Was Absurd
This form used to ask for your business name, country, city, industry, page count, budget range, existing site, current URL and preferred contact method before you could send anything. It now asks four things. The reason is on our own landing pages page: conversion falls steeply as fields increase, and the sharpest drop sits between four and seven. Everything else is answerable in the first reply.
What Actually Helps in the Message
Two or three lines is plenty. What the business does, and what you want the website to make happen — take bookings, sell something, stop losing enquiries to a slow site. If you already have a site, the address is useful. If you have a deadline that matters, say so early, because it changes what is worth suggesting. You do not need to know what you want built; working that out is part of the job.
What Happens Next, and How We Handle Money
We read it and reply by email, usually with questions rather than a pitch. Once the scope is settled it goes in writing before any work starts and before any payment — we do not put a buy button on custom work, because a price agreed without seeing the scope is a price one of us will regret. Invoices are issued by email and can be settled by PayPal or bank transfer; other methods on request. We will not chase you: no follow-up sequence, and no call unless you ask for one.
